IN FOND MEMORY OF |
Dr. Myers |
William D. Myers, M.D. (1941-2007) was a graduate from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his Ophthalmology residency at the Detroit Medical Center . After the completion of his training, William D. Myers, M.D. began his career at the Michigan Eye Institute in 1971 and later became a co-founder of the Michigan Eyecare Institute in 1986 with Mark H. Rubinstein, M.D..
Dr. Myers was devoted to incorporating high technology with eye care for the ultimate goal of improving clinical outcomes. The educational commitment Dr. Myers made throughout his life allowed his talents to become learned worldwide and will always be an important part of the eye care delivered at the Michigan Eyecare Institute. The research and development performed by Dr. Myers can be read in the literature although it was his compassion for Ophthalmology that has become a part of the Michigan Eyecare Institute foundation. The Michigan Eyecare Institute mission statement is in fact the result of the devotion of its co-founders and that is: always place the patient needs first, treat everyone with dignity and respect, and incorporate proven high technology with the care of all the patients at the Michigan Eyecare Institute to maximize medical and surgical outcomes. |
